Whisper

It’s 5 am and the girl was sleeping on her bed. She suddently woke up with angry face. It was her father woke her up by giving some kiss on her cheek as always. 

She was angry because she still needed more time to sleep. “Come on, the sun is coming up, you will be late for Subuh prayer,” her father said. Who cared? She just need some more time to sleep anyway.

“Hey, here must be Satan whispered to you,”  her father keep persuaded his girl. “Yaa, just sleep, it’s only 5 more minute, no problem,” he exemplified the way Satan whispered to the girl. But still.

She never cared of what her father said about the whisper of Satan in the morning. She thought that he just frightened her by giving fake knowledge. She didn’t believe it anyway.

As she grew up and learned more about Quran, she found that what her father said when she was young was actually right.

It came from the story of Adam that mentioned several times in Quran such as Surah Al Baqarah and Al Araf. It described that when Allah SWT created human being which is the greatest ‘project’ ever, all the angels make sajada except Iblis. They thought that they were better than human because they made of fire and human only made of mud. Then Allah punished Iblis to come down to the hellfire. And here’s the revenge started.

Satan wanted to prove that human being is not as good as described. They promised to make human fall into the Jahanam too. That’s why they attack human in any direction, anytime, any situation, and 24 hours non stop. And guess what the action they do? Whisper! 

Satan only give whisper to human. They give a bad thought just like what they did to Adam and Eve when they were adviced to not get near the tree in Jannah. Satan kept whispering a little thought all the time and brought them a little closer to the tree everytime. And then finally they did it.

That's also what Satan do to the human being. Their goal is just a little step back or at least maintain human to never step ahead. Just like a morning whisper to the girl who had to wake up and do prayer. They just whispered to keep sleeping in 5 more minute, then 5 more minute again, and again. But this simply pulled the girl from making ibadah.

The whisper is true. It’s around you!
